Welcome back to Wellington cruise passengers – it’s great to see you again!

Well on the 25th of October after 2 and a half years we had our first cruise ship back in port – Royal Caribbean Ovation of the Seas.

We had 2 bookings off the ship that day and I happened to be flying back from Sydney that day so obviously couldn’t deliver these tours myself. I’m blessed with being able to call on two fabulous people to deliver outstanding tours – Gina and Andrew. Customer feedback from their day out was fantastic.

Cruise bookings are accounting for 60% of our current bookings and we don’t have much availability through January and February. A funny thing that struck me a couple of months ago was it’s great to hear foreign accents around Wellington again. Welcome back to New Zealand everyone – we have missed you!

Common questions for cruise passengers booking private tours:

Do you pick up from my cruise ship or do I have to meet you somewhere else?

• We have port access so we can meet you at your ship. The specific meeting point is the Independent Tour Operators Pick Up Point. Please note the Port has no shelter or facilities available this season so we recommend waiting until the first rush of passengers have disembarked. In the case of bad weather, it will also make your disembarkation more pleasant.

Your tours say they are for a full day. Will we get back to the ship in time?

• Yes we will get you back to the ship in time. For tours to the Wairarapa region (Martinborough and Cape Palliser) we will operate these tours with a shortened itinerary to ensure you are back to the ship well before embarkation.
