Yes, my friends and family from ‘over the ditch’ may be surprised me saying we’ve missed our Aussie mates but it’s true!
What the past 2 years has shown is how important it is to keep in contact with friends and loved ones through technology – the joy of having a video catch up and virtual wine, beer or coffee with mates from over the ditch has been great.
However, nothing replaces a warm hug and a firm handshake does it?
Like many, we have airline credits to eventually use so we’re looking to ‘crossing the ditch’ to friends and family soon.
With the New Zealand border now fully open for our Australian friends, my gut feeling is we will initially see family and friends connecting first. The winter Ski Season, particularly in the South Island is likely to be popular during the Australian winter school holidays.
