Why the name Kaewa Tours? The word Kaewa in Te Reo Māori (verb) means ‘to wander, roam’. From a noun perspective: ‘ wanderer, traveller, drifter, rover, rambler, adventurer’. Kaewa strongly resonated with us as we like to travel, wander and discover new countries and cultures as well as places in our own country. The word Kaewa also resonates strongly with us as this is the name of a town in Kenya, a country we visited in 2015 which created very fond memories for us.
Kaewa Tours is a family owned company established late 2020. We are solely dedicated to private tours of up to 14 people therefore your tour will be precisely your own tour. However, larger groups can be catered for upon enquiry.

Enjoy a 7 hour private tour capturing key Wellington sites and activities such as Oriental Bay, Mt Victoria, Evans Bay, Weta Cave, majestic monuments, scenic drive of Eastern and Southern bays, Brooklyn Wind Turbine, Pukeahu National War Memorial Park, Cable Car, Parliament Buildings and Old St Pauls Cathedral. Scenic South Wairarapa Full Day Tour
Enjoy a 11 hour private guided tour where we spend the day in the majestic South Wairarapa region where we cover a wide range of activities from cheese, chocolate and wine tastings to a scenic drive out to Cape Palliser lighthouse the southern most point in the North Island. On our scenic drive we also visit the Cape Palliser seal colony, and the small fishing village of Ngawi. A scrumptuous platter lunch at a winery is also included in your tour.
