Very friendly and helpful hosts. Beautiful house in peaceful setting, perfect place to relax. Enjoyed watching the Tuis having breakfast.

“Quiet and thoughtful. Lovely hosts. The guest rooms are upstairs, away from the rest of the family. Excellent shower and thoughtful touches like flowers and toiletries. Great selection of coffee and hot chocolate in bedroom to use. Excellent recycling and composting.”

Excellent location being close to the shopping centre in Waikanae and the train station. Warm, cosy bedroom and underfloor heating in the bathroom. Jill and Tom are friendly and welcoming as you are guests in their home. They live downstairs and the bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs, so the guests have their own facilities.

“Would definitely stay here again if I ever needed. Highly recommend. Was room only with tea coffee available. Great to have a balcony off the bedroom. Everything was absolutely perfect! Beautiful house and the location is close to the beach surrounded by garden and flowers everywhere, nice view from the balcony of our room, very comfortable bed and bathroom. The kindness of the owners Jill and Tom is wonderful. If you are traveling in Waikanae don’t miss this place!

Mid winter – the rooms were warm and the sheets devine… so soft and warm. Lovely separate space with our own bathroom and so clean and homely. Hosts would be difficult to top – such a lovely pleasant couple.

Friendly knowledgeable hosts who gave us good restaurant recommendations etc, and made us feel at home, we had the up stairs bedrooms with comfortable beds and a lovely bathroom, shared kitchen living area down stairs. Good value for money.
