Terms and Conditions:
These are the Terms & Conditions under which you book and travel with Kaewa Tours Ltd. You are bound by these ‘Terms & Conditions’, so it is important that you read them carefully.
All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 15%.
All tour prices are on a per person basis and are subject to change at any time. Pricing is valid as at 14 March 2024.
Childrens fees apply for bookings of 18 years and younger. Under five years free. Some tours have an R18 restriction e.g. Vineyard-Winery cellar doors, Craft Beer/Brewery tours and Foodie tours that involve alcohol.
For children under the age of 7 an approved child restraint seat must be used and be supplied by the customer. If an approved child restraint seat is not available, the tour cannot proceed. Due to the size of the tour vehicle we may not be able to accommodate all customers with a child restraint seat. For example the tour vehicle can accommodate 4 adults however if a child restraint seat is used, the optimum number of adult customers will reduce from 4 to 2 adults. An approved child restraint seat can be hired for the day from Baby on the Move who have offices in Wellington and Lower Hutt. It is the customers responsibility for the hireage, pick up and drop off of the child restraint seat from Baby on the Move. Children under the age of 16 years must not be left unaccompanied whilst stopped for visits during tours.
In very rare cases the Remutaka Hill road can be closed due to adverse weather conditions. The Scenic South Wairarapa Full Day Tour, Martinborough Foodie Delights Tour, Full Day Wairarapa Winery Tour and our Half Day Martinborough Winery Tour will be impacted. A full refund will be offered or an alternative tour of a similar or lesser value with Kaewa Tours of the customers choice will apply. If an alternate tour with Kaewa Tours is selected the alternate tour must be taken within 12 months from the scheduled date of the original tour. If you choose not to reschedule your tour for a later date, a full refund will be provided to you. A no cancellation fee will apply in this instance.
Tour cancellations:
1. Cancellations by customers of confirmed bookings + 48 hours before tour commencement will be refunded in full.
2. Cancellations by customers of confirmed bookings 24-48 hours before tour commencement will receive a 75% refund.
3. Cancellations by customers of confirmed bookings < 24 hours before tour commencement will receive a 25% refund.
4. No shows / no communication = no refund.
It is highly unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your tour after you book, but sometimes we may have to make minor alterations. Customers will be notified at the time of booking of any known changes in itinerary and customers are under no obligation to continue with their booking should these prove unsuitable.
Where you have ongoing travel arrangements booked but circumstances outside of our control prevent us from being able to return you on time, we will use our best endeavours to assist you, but we will not be responsible for any additional costs involved in amending your travel arrangements.
There is no minimum numbers for a tour to commence.
Refunds:
No refunds will be made once the tour has commenced unless extenuating circumstances apply. In such instances, final decisions will be made at the discretion of Kaewa Tours Management. Weather interruptions to tours are beyond our control. We will do all possible to rearrange services in such events but cannot be held financially responsible for interruption under such circumstances. We strongly recommend travel insurance for such eventualities.
For any reason Kaewa Tours need to cancel your tour a full refund will be paid or an alternative tour of a similar or lesser value with Kaewa Tours of the customer’s choice will apply. If an alternate tour with Kaewa Tours is selected the alternate tour must be taken within 12 months from the scheduled date of the original tour. If you choose not to reschedule your tour for a later date, a full refund will be provided to you.
Use of photographs, video files and social media platforms:
By completing the check out process you agree and confirm that Kaewa Tours can take photographs or video of you at any Kaewa Tours event and can use and/or publish those photographs or video, and any you post to any Kaewa Tours social media page or group, in print or electronically for any lawful purpose including publicity, advertising and on our website. If you don’t want your picture taken for these purposes during your tour please let us know. Your privacy is our utmost concern – we will do our best not to include you in the pictures or crop you out before posting online.
