- Ride the iconic Wellington Cable Car.
- Visit the Lady Norwood Rose Gardens in the Botanical Gardens (when in bloom).
- Stroll the stunning Wellington waterfront from Te Papa up to the Kupe memorial which shows the legendary explorer with his wife, Hine Te Apārangi, and his Tohunga (Priest), Pekahourangi.
- Scenic drive from the City around Oriental Bay up to one of Wellington’s most popular look out points – Mt Victoria.
- View the Wellington ‘Blown Away’ sign at the entrance to the Eastern suburb of Miramar (aptly nicknamed ‘Wellywood’).
- Immerse yourself in the magical world of movie making and special effects at the Weta Cave.
- Visit the magnificent Massey Memorial, the resting place of Prime Minister William Massey and wife Christina.
- Take in lunch at the iconic Eastern Bays Cafe – Scorch-O-Rama.
- View Barretts Reef from Breaker Bay which claimed the Inter Island Ferry Wahine on 10 April 1968 and pay our respects at the Wahine monument to the 53 people who lost their lives.
- Take a walk up the Breaker Bay Hill to view the Mustafa Kemal Atatürk memorial, the first President of the Republic of Turkey. The memorial looks out over the Harbour entrance/Cook Strait and the site was chosen for its remarkable likeness to the landscape of the Gallipoli Peninsula in Turkey.
- Check out the favourite surfing spot of Wellington’s surfing community – Lyall Bay on the south coast.
- Pass by the Southern Bays and surburbs of Houghton Bay, Island Bay and Owhiro Bay.
- Soak in the vista of Wellington and beyond from the Brooklyn Wind Turbine on Hawkins Hill.
